what all do u have done to ur gti because i had 03 srt-4 and walked the shit out of a gti at gandy and it wasnt stock and i thought the srt-8s were suppose 2 be faster than the srt-4's.

 

what year gti did you race? the newer body style have a bigger gain with certain mods than the olders. and not putting down vw's but they aren't really meant to drag race, more of an auto-x car.. i loved my gti and i know i put some hurtings on some v8s and skittles

 

it was the newest one thats out all i had was a couple bolt ons and was on 20 psi and beat him by at least 3 cars from a 20 roll.

 

i know of one that you didn't, when it passed you while racing a white one. lol

 

there was a srt-8 that looked exactly like that at the track tonight! My best was 13.57 @ 103.7, best I saw him run was 13.68 @ 102. I really wanted to get a run with him but I ended up next to ss camaros all night, which was cool though. But I was really focusing on my e/t not racing, but the track was really shitty and I had shitty launches all night.

 

my mods are in my garage. i walk modded gti's all the time, i've walked modded srt-4's too, kind of irrelevant.

 

20 psi is meaningless that is only the spike at low rpm you never see that racing, he probably had 10 psi at redline, and thats for 4th gear if he didn't have any boost leaks(upgraded dv, pcv, etc). the turbo is really small. if it makes you feel any better I would have shit on both of you

 

I agree I just like to drag it for fun. autox bores me but I would love to get it on a real track. what was your setup on your GTI? MKV?
