Few super cars are half as super as the magizines say they are.

Porche carrea GT ( most TT 911's actully run 11's stock too )

And... That's about it...

I could meantion a few cars I've seen running "not so $200K+ fast", but I'll save it...

And just cause you personally haven't seen it with your eyes doesn't make it not possible. Your logic is so fucked it's not even funny.

And if he sucks at running at the 1/4 I sure he is fine in a roll race and that would take out the "driver mod". Or even just play catch up after a shitty launch. Either way he is going to beat most all cars he comes across.

Also "super cars" for the most part are built to do everything well not just straight line race. They can hit the twisties after running rather impressive straight lines, go hit the twisties, or stop on a dime.

Most importantly though is that he is still parking a ferrari in his garage at night and you or me are still parking his pocket change in ours.

I am sure after he looses a straight line race to a Cobra, Z28, or what ever it is. He still drives that damn car with a smile on his face.

Hate it all you but you would get one if you had the means to.

 

I've not hating on them b/c they are out of my reach... I love vipers, I like Ford GTs, I love Porches.

I had on the other super cars b/c they aren't super at all. Case in point, I fucking HATE EVOs. Not b/c its a bad car, but b/c its a $36K lancer ( way way over priced ), they don't run what the magizines say they do, and they are kind harse for a $36K car. BBBUUUUTTTTT, the EVO can match "super car" numbers in EVERYWAY, other than top speed. It does it for $36K, with 1/3 the cylinders, 4 times the interoir space, and parts cost about 75-80% LESS.

Me personally.. If I had "super car" money, I'd buy a SL65 ( $180K ). Faster is everyway ( faster then most super cars in REAL FUCKING LIFE, not magizine world that fan buys live in ). Might not quite have the steering response and prob. a fair bit short on handing, but its a sleeper, its a f-ing luxury car, has 10 different systems to make your drive more pleasing.

The Ferraris have all the disadvantages of a viper, without the power, and cost 2-3-4 times as much.

Honestly, the $125K 991 turbo is best "supercar" b/c my grandma can make it run 11.8x on a hot day at the track ( I've personally seen a dealerships AWD 911 do it, with a guy driving it that couldn't even turn off the traction control ). It handles prob. as good, if not better than the others, its still 1/2 the cost of most super cars.

Another story... With a 300whp tune, I went DOOR TO DOOR on the interstate with a new lambo galardo ( you know which one ) upto 155mph WHERE HE LET OFF. My car was on pump gas, the way my wife drives it to work. $18K neon with a few bolts SHOULD NEVER BE CLOSE TO A $300K V10 "500+hp" "SUPER CAR" from a 50mph roll.

Spend $200K on viper and see what you get.... prob. something like 7.7@187mph in a street car.... Or... Run mid 13's with the rest of the lambos, ferraris, and a few other select "super cars" that I'm not going to get specific on.

Point is, I don't HATE super cars. I hate over priced, slow ass super cars.

If my neon can do everything a super car can, does it really mean he should be happy driving off in a lambo ? I damn sure wouldn't be. I bea pissed that I over paid by about $250K, can't get in and out the car, can't carry any cargo, can't fit more than 2 people, can't get an oil change for under $500, be pissed my tires cost $2500 for rubber, and be pissed I can't even drive on most streets b/c my $25K front bumper will get ripped off. Ole yea, and be pissed I get 8MPG, with 350whp And be pissed in general that my V10 super car doesn't have more than 350whp...

And I think its only nature a guy in a ferrari would pick on a prelude, vs most the other cars that would put his ass in the dirt...
