Sounds like an electrical grounding issue perhaps ..


I was gonna say maybe the timming is too far advanced for pump gas , but sounds like your running conservative timming ..

The car doesn't jump Load maps does it ?

 

no you can take the spout out and the car fires right up put it back in and it dies instantly cause you lose spark. load maps are ok i just took the tweeker off to see if that was it doesnt make a difference.

 

man i remeber reading about some one with your same porblem but i cant remember for the life of me what caused it..

hows your coil..u running msd box and stuff?

 

a vacuum leak would not cause a single problem at WOT...

 

i am getting a new ecm to try a friend has one if this doesnt work then i am going to make my own ground to the computer to the distributor and my own wire from the spout to the ecm. this will eliminate my harness and tell me if i have a problem within it. i cant wait to get back in town to work on it. i know the problem has been gettting worse and it isnt always there. sometimes the car runs fine and 7400rpm is totally acheivable.

Wow whats up with everyones 5.0. Fordaorm's mustang was running like crap also but I think his is better now. He had to mess with this timing to get his to run right.
