what works and what doesnt work has already been demonstrated time and time again. there are numerous similar setups. cam design, such as duration, lift, and lobe seperation have all been proven to work with FI a certain way. head working has all been proved to work a certain way, steering away from velocity, and more towards volume on an FI application, due to the fact the turbo/super will counteract the velocity loss. and the comparison? he is running a t3/t04e on the 5speed, and your running a straight T4 from the info he posted. IMO that is not a good comparison. what are the exhaust A/R's like? and a/f isnt a good comparison to use either, its just a refernce tool.
By unkown i was referring to what parts will break and what not. My friend thats doing all this work for me has about 15 years of experience in the performance industry. Both turbo setups were spec'd the same BY turbonetics so there is really no difference in efficiency unless ofcourse your talking about max efficiency.

no point in explaining it then...

anyways..find an engineer, give them the actual parts. and they will tell you when they will give way. or...build the motor, and not worry about what will let go 1st.

Already have everything for a built motor minus the camshafts that im waiting to be made. Only one company in the world makes them and their in australia. Its not the engine im worried aobut breaking. Its the tranny parts. There arent any bulletproof kits available so ill just have to wait and see what breaks first before i can have custom kevlar parts made.

there is a company in dade i believe, that makes custom bell housings/adaptors, they do the yota trannies onto the 4G63's for the starquest conversions. see if they could convert a focus lentech tranny to your car. would expect the input shaft splining, custom lengthing, and axle shaft splining would need to be changed. other than that, lentech makes a stout tranny.

Im preferably looking to use this tranny and just strengthen it if need be. Id like to be able to say that with the original tranny and engine i was able to hit a 10 second 1/4 mile when the built engines dropped in.

see, thats the mindset that gets people in trouble, and then hate their cars. your going to go after 10's with a stock automatic meant to hold maybe 250ft/lbs of torque. and an engine that will maybe put out 350 safely. just cause you would like to say you pushed the limits of a stock setup. well, way i see it, that big stall is going to heat that tranny to its death probably, if you do decide to be traction minded, kiss those axles goodbye if you plan on remotely launching hard. its more expensive to be stock and quick than it is to be built and quick.

Im already pushing 290ftlbs of torque and 300whp. The tranny is taking it like a champ and ive launched it hard before with no problems. Besides it would be good research info for the 3g community to know just how far the stock tranny will go for people who cant afford a rebuilt engine AND a tranny.

i like how this thread has evolved...RYU just so you know its a ritual to get hammered by some of the old timers (DaTruth, half fast, sneaky beacon) amoungst others...consider it a right of passage...back to your tranny, i think kennys talking 1.6's or better...anyway nice kill...you'll have to get to know these guys before you can understand how insane they are....Datruth you'll break 12's once yuo stop frequetning those 1/3 mile tracks...kenny you'll never lift your wheels and Onebadass, you always be the fastest stock SS albeit tampa stock
