Default Auto 1.6L > *

so i was coming onto 275 lastnight, and out of nowhere this EG pulls up to me and starts revving. i just smirk as he yells over thats its got a type r swap. he downshifts and takes off for a quick second to let me taste his weak sauce. we slow down to about 40 and mash it, converter flashes and i do my 1 wheel peel across 1.5 lanes and then motion for them to catch back up. Him and his buddy were befuddled i suppose, but more so, very high, as he still wanted to run. I let him get out about 2-3 cars from about a 50 roll then i mash it yet again, wheel ablaze as i pass him, have no tach so i bang the rev limiter and pop it out of sport 3 gear and keep on truckin. he turned off at Dale Mabry and never saw him again.

had a MR2 merge onto 275 with me about 5 minutes later who kept trying to pick on me, problem being, he though he was a supra or something. He just stayed around 100mph or so, and what made it funny is he was in like top of 4th so when i hit it and chirped the tires and pulled away, he went through his gear, then shifted, and started slowing down!!! i felt bad for him, because it reminded me of driving my old CX hatch...if i was doing 95 in 4th, and i shifted to 5th cause i was outta gear, it would fall on its face and drop to like 80 even at WOT.

actually, window motors are the next thing on my list, its warming up, so i wants windows...hell, ive only had 1 window for almost 1.5 years now...and my car is in the shop cause Alan's Gearworks has gone to shit, and shitty quality work, and do not care about customer safety.

I've replaced both of my windows since I've had the car, and the passenger window is already half-fucked up. +1 to the windows. I don't get it, GM can make high performance dragsters that blow the doors offa many things, but they can't master how to make a window motor or water pump last. WTF?

Oh well, I guess I'm in for this x 2 with the upcoming Stang. I need a Nissan...

haven't heard anything about water pumps being problematic, us LT1 guys
are in the most trouble with bad water pumps, cause the opti makes a good
catch pan for coolant

as for the window motors, I believe someone once told me that it's because
the motors hang upside down and the oil drips out after a while, causing the
motor to burn up
