Yeah, I was referring to ya'll with the water pump. I've had alternator problems with mine. Also had to replace the starter, but thats held up thus far. Interesting theroy with the window motors, go GM...

yeh my water pump crapped out around 75,000...I've replaced the drivers window motor twice, the passenger window motor once, headlight motor gears twice (i'll be damned if I'm paying for a whole new motor), and then last week the drivers window either fell off the track or the scissor mechanism snapped in two...GM can build great combustion engines, but any kind of electrical motor is solid crap

i've heard thunderbird window motors will work in place of ours, but have no solid evidence on that. as for the water pump, i have no complaints other than the weephole above the opti...but...what opti?

im down with the hole alternator problem...i still havent fixed mine. someone said i should check my powersteering pump too, said it sounded bad...i dunno, im deaf.

Its an F-Body. If it makes less than 12 assorted mystery noises, then you should be scared. My power steering pump goes squeak squeak at times, but it works fine so meh - but I've seen them go out even on the new F-Bodies...and it ain't a pretty sight when they do.

Yeah...I bought a damned built alternator last time, and that blew....So I went to Advance Auto Parts and bought one that doesn't even put out the stock power it says it does...but I'm not paying $250 again for an alternator.

Oh, has anyone else's dash cracked into more 3 peices, by the way, or is that just me?
