All im saying is... your car was designed as a race/rally car. His is a luxury sedan/coupe. In other words.... he should've been glad to keep up with you. Even though yours is a 4 door... his car weighs in around 600lbs more then yours.

600lbs more with 55-71 more horsepower! I appreciate your comments but the point of the thread is to compare the runs with the 350 z on the low end and the G35 on the high end. Both were very good races . Also: a G35 is 3400lbs and a wrx is between 3085lbs and 3140lbs

Yes, we luxury sport drivers ARE happy when we keep up with cars that were designed just for speed/handling...
not that mine wasn't...

The new 300 (soon to be Hemi)
The various Mercedes and BMW sedans
ETC... ETC...
for the most part are happy that we could get performance and luxury without having to sacrifice one for the other.
Glad to hear about the matchup though... I usually have my daughter in the car and have yet to play with a WRX... but have put a couple of cars on a G35 80-120MPH... so I guess I know a little better where I stand against one...

J/K.........Also if you put lengths on the G35 ,then .....he wasnt racing.........unless that Lexus you got is turbo.
lexus gs400 + great driver= 1/4 mile stock 14.4
g35 + great driver = 1/4 mile stock 14.2

The fastest I have been in mine was against that G35.....140mph. Thats all thats on the dash also.......but the car was not at redline and it felt like it might have had a little more in her. I dont think Ill ever no

i think his is a GS400, not an ES400, and those things haul ass, my dad has one. really nice cars +33000 on the luxury whooh, my ass screams with glory everytime i sit on that leather.
