I originally quoted James' post because I thought is was funny and how really there is always someone doing something in the back ground to achieve a quicker car. Be it chevy, ford, nissan, honda, whatever. Should he feel better now that just because the honda has race gas in it he doesnt have to worry because the playing field is now unequal? Come on man. Run what you brung. If you want to bring the 1800 hp car out, that would be awesome.

My car is only missing the rear seat because the cage goes through it. Besides that, everything else is stock.

I see people are already coming up with built in excuses to why they cant beat someone. If you cant beat the Hondas join them. Dont make excuses about weight, ac, etc. If you dont want to race then dont race. I dont have any problem turning down races.

 

Somebody just needs to build a Ls1 based 408 stroker turbo motor and drop it in a Vega. No more arguments about weight then.

Not trying to find a way to "regain" anything. The status of the "Big Dawgs" such as they are has never been in question. What I am trying to do is eliminate the bickering about the question of weight. There are some domestic owners that overlook the fact that there are some very light domestic rear drive platforms that would readily accept an engine swap.
