Yea there was fluid leaking out on the second pull. So they stopped it.
Besides the rear tires, that car looked completely stock. Even the interior was all stock.

But to me it looks like yet another high HP dyno queen Supra, yipeee ! Sounds like the two second power band is similar to the 1000 hp. car that runs around. Why people are so amazed by these cars I will never know.
But what is that popular catch phrase everyone likes to use ?

I personally think they are an incredible car with an incredible motor. Not necessarily the best platform for drag racing...but incredible none the less.
Many do have a narrow power band....and that band is in the higher rpms.....hence the seemingly high HP #s, but peak #s only tell 50% of the story. That could be a good thing for drag racing if you put an auto tranny with a matching (very high) stall converter in it...but of course that would be considered sacraligous among Supra owners.
With the manual its tough to get the correct gearing for best performance. They have great acceleration in the higher gears where they can stay in that band for longer periods....but that doesnt help in launching. Its a tough car to find that correct formula for all around performance.
My favorite Supra is Petes black one...he has worked on getting it to spool sooner in the RPMs as well as get a nice peak HP #. Runs very very good ETs and is a six speed. Gotta love those manually shifted cars

It was just cool watching it dyno in person. I have seen plenty of single turbo dyno videos, but that was the first time I have seen one dyno in person.
I just liked it because it looked completely stock from the outside (except for the rear tires) even the interior was all stock. I didnt get a good look, but I didn't see any gauges or anything. Thats why it impressed me.

Went to Fun ford weekend sat..... The man with the Supra was there.. He wanted to run it but they wouldnt let him because it wasnt a ford..My friend and I asked were talking to him and he said it is high 8s low 9s 1/4mile......So there you have it very fast sick supra

Ill believe high 8s low 9s when I see it. The word I got from a relieble source is that it hasnt been run yet. It takes alot more from a car to run those #s then just 900+ hp and a set of BFG drags.

Exactly, running 9's is much harder then you think.
That guy asked to run at bradenton also, but they wouldn't let him. But why is he trying to run at mustang events? He has plenty of opportunities to run any other day at any other track.
