like i sad what ever the scraten brothers touch will end up being a sick ride.that supra has probley close to the same setup that they run in there car.does any body have the video of him running the corvette.

 

Guys, it was my ZR1 that run against the supra. The car is very imressive.
Limey knows my car and how it runs.
The Supra used Nitrous in this particular race so who knows how fast it really is. My guess is over 1k hp at the wheels.
From 45 mph roll he hooked better than me, and that is amazing considering how much power he is making and their reputation for not having traction down low!
My guess judging by how he run against me, is that is it a 150+ trap speed car easy. I let off at 125 mph or so as there was no point in staying in it, and he was like 4 cars ahead and pulling.
I was the first one to congratulate the driver after the race. The car is FAST!, no excuses.

Wow that Supra seems to be running real good. I was wondering if you was able to verify that he was using nitrous on his car. Or better yet did you see the bottle. I'm just curious.

 

in response to some earlier posts...regarding supra's being overrated.

every vehicle is built with a purpose from the factory. some of you fail to understand this and mention 1/4 miles only.

from a roll...maybe getting on the highway, or just accelerating to pass someone...in a high revving, high horsepower car can be a stomach dropping experience.

i'll take that type of car anyday, over something designed to just run well for a 1/4 mile.

i'm not saying one or the other is better, because its comparing apples and oranges.

its simply stupid to say i don't like supra's...or i think they're overrated...etc...etc...because supra's are one of the first supercars to be in regular production. how many stock bottom ends can handle 35lbs of boost and make over 1000hp?

That is a great point Chet but it costs so much to get them to 1,000whp that you could fully build most motors and have 1,000whp in any car. They also are a little heavy. Remember bottom line is power to weight ratio.

 

How many Supra's have you built. Sorry but it doesn't cost much more than any other car trying to get the same power level's you guy's read supraforum's to much
