There's nothing to prove. I wasn't aware that you had a 10 sec car. Wow good for you.

But there is an 03 cobra with the 6 speed and IRS that ran a 10.0 at 141mph, full weight too, except he took out the rear seats but its still a perfectly streetable car.

Well...as you said...automatic is a world of difference. Tons of 8 second cars like that. F bodys, Supras, tons of stangs etc.

If this Supra in question does indeed run a low 9.0-9.3 then its an incredible car and more incredible driver.
Does the owner have experiance in driving a 9 second capable six speed? If he hasnt...he may be in for a rude awakening at the track. Its a whole other ballgame from a stop at the track...especially with a six speed.

BTW...as I said in another post...my favorite local Supra is Petes black Supra. It is a 9 second capable six speed. He has yet to run the #. But he actually goes to the track on a semi regular basis and has slowly whittled down his ETs to a very low low low 10 and in the 140+ traps.

Practice practice practice! Tweak tweak tweak!

That is the name of the game.

Does anyone know if the Red Supra that was @ NMRA this weekend had a nitrous kit on it? If so, was those power levels attained on the juice or boost only?

Alot of Supras are dyno queens. They make alot of power but people seem to forget they are a heavy car. They do make 1,000+whp but you need to be able to put it to the pavement. Plus the owner might not be the best driver. There are alot of variables. Bottom line is lets see some of these Supras put down some numbers at the track. That way there is no doubt to how fast the fastest supra is in tampabay.
