Just a little humbling moment for you Ron. I believe at 1320 you laughed at me when I told you we would be a good race. Then it took your best time ever on street tires to edge out my 13.4 (also on street tires) in the last 100 ft of the track. This was in a 2+ ton full frame, full leather interior, 4 door, a/c, etc. daily driven street car that has never had the valve covers off. I had to pedal the car, so I know my 60 ft. was shit (it was 2.45 at sunshine the week before) so I don't want to hear about rear drives hooking up. I know you have done more to your car, and I'd like to think I may have even inspired that, but I am looking forward to our rematch track day, and yes, I will also be on slicks. But honestly Ron, if I can ride 5 deep to the track, using cruise control, a/c, etc., have a stock engine with nitrous and some boltons, weigh more than two tons and even stay on the same block with you, how can you say times are changing?
Edit: PS-I've also got over 126,000 miles on this motor.

You are right Billy. I did find it amuzing that you wanted to race me in the road master. As i told you after the race which i did win. That that was the closest race i had. I only beat you by a 10th but still a win. I spun the 1st 1/8th mile while you left me sitting there. Do you remember how fast i came up on you once i got traction? Are you telling me rearwheel drive vehicles hook up the same as frontwheel. If you ran a 2.45 60 ft on drag radials i wouldnt admit it. Thats horrible!!! Unless it's all the torque from the spray! As far as wieght is consered im sorry you drive a sled. My car has full interior except A/C which i did have when we raced. As a matter of fact my car wieghs more than stock. I dont want power windows or leather or 4 doors. Times are changing because there are 500+hp civics running around. This wasnt the case a few years ago. You also seem to forget i have alot done to my car and have put alot of work into it. So i'm proud of it. I'm impressed with your roadmaster but we both know nitrous can make anything go fast even a civic. Bring your slicks because you will need them. Maybe i'll inspire you to up the pill some more. Come on Billy I thought you knew me better than that.
I know you have alot done to your car, that's my point. If anybody can make a car fast on nitrous, why do you have a turbo, and why doesn't everybody have it? Where are these 500hp civics running around? I know there are exceptions to everything, hell I'm sure somewhere there is a guy driving a 7 second v-8 to the store to pick up some beer just because he can. The point is that I wouldn't get to excited when a 126,000 mile stock engined 2+ ton car can keep up with your highly modified civic. I like that you keep pointing out that you won, YOU SHOULD HAVE. The next time we race, YOU STILL SHOULD, but please don't be surprised if once again it is a very close race, I would be disappointed if I won. Hey, keep this up, and we'll have the race everybody goes to see!

You are right i should win. Belive me if there is a car i dont want to lose to it's defineatly a 4 door roadmaster. I still cant belive how that thing runs. I beat alot of cars and i have to admit yours win beat alot of people. Beating cars like yours doesnt get me excited. It's the corvettes and sports cars not the family cars. I think in the next year you will see the 3 that i know of 500+ hp cars. As a matter of fact the 4 door integra will hopefully be done soon. That way you can race a honda that fits 5 people with a/c,leather,power windows and door locks. There might only be a few fast hondas but there are only a few fast V-8's on the streets. What i mean by fast V-8's is 600+hp. For what it takes for a honda to make 500whp then a V-8 should have 1,200whp. I think there are as many 1200whp V-8's running around as there are 500hp civics. Do you see my point?
Also, I resent you making it sound like this is just a car with nitrous. The 2.45 60 ft. was a result of an open rear (fixed) and a low first gear (also fixed). The last time at sunshine the 60' was 1.72 with a lttle spin. The car also ran a 9.32 on the motor, which ain't bad for what it is. With new slicks (not my old dry rotted hoosiers), and control arm bushings (you can hear a thud driving around town
), the 60' should dip in the 1.6's. It's not that I don't have anything done to the car but nitrous, it's just that I have very little, well thought out things done. I am not one to just throw money at the car and hope it goes faster, I have picked up with every single thing I have done.

Back when mustangs were as popular as the civics are now, and everyone had one, there were your jackasses (early rice?) that had the through hull exhaust (through ground effects
), tachs, and welds and ran 15's, but you also had alot of 12 second cars. There were 11 second cars, and there were 10 second cars, all driven on the street. Now in your own words you have one of the fastest street driven civics around, and we're (at least right now) talking 12's. As long as these cars have been around, and as many people that want to make them fast, if times were changing, you would be running 10's and everybody else would be running 12's. That's my point. Yes, there are always going to be exceptions, but the honda's should have evolved further by now if they are truely the "next big thing" IMO
It seems with most Honda owners, it's more important "what's on the trunk, not under the hood" and that will always hurt people like you that honestly are in it for the right reason.
