i know what you mean about a "sweet spot." my "sweet spot" is anything above 5200 rpm, when my secondary intake runners open up. i think every four cylinder has a "sweet spot," not just the kids with the vtec motors.

I think most people race from a dig..... Ill race you from a dig or your sweet spot.... BTW my 2nd goes to 70 1st 0-38 2nd 39-70 3rd 71-104 4th 105-????? Fastes iv been was 134 next to a lt1.... but i was also spraying so i dident want to hit red line so i backed off...at about 3800
