I agree with the exhaust recommendation however I recommend coilover suspention over all. Coilovers are more expensive, but have proven to be a trillion times better time and time again.

Does she want to go fast, make noise, or both? I would just do a 3"DP for about $250, that should give her about 5hp stock or 10hp if chipped. The Cat is another $150, if you can't find someone to install it I can do it for $50 on the DP or $75 on the cat & DP. If she wants HP she should get a chip which will take her from 180hp 174ft/lb to 210hp 250ft/lb. I do these also and they run $350 installed.

well, the car itself was ordered a month and a half ago and it still hasn't arrived. it looks like vw has had a lot of orders for these cars and she's getting tired of waiting. but a chip is definitely something she's interested in...

and jim, how many psi does the chip allow you to run at? or what is the increase over stock...

thanks, chet.

I am pretty sure the chip will bring the boost to 1.0 bar or 14.7 lbs + or - a little. I am not sure of the stock boost.....probably 8 or 9 lbs.
