power question
I'm looking for a price comparison on different ways to hit my power goals. Not really sure which route to go I just know I want between 200 and 250 with the possibilty to hit 300 without a ton of rebuild work.
Does anyone around here have a first hand comparison on 1.8t vs vr6 vs 2.0t or any other swaps for that matter than can get me my goals.

to hit 250whp in a 1.8T, you will need lotssss of bolts ons and then tweaking with the stock turbo. upgrade the rods and the motor can handle 500-600hp.
to be quite honest bolt ons, k04 upgrade, and a good ECU file will get you to where you want with no problems.
start with the easy stuff.... diverter valve, N75 J valve, down pipe, k&n, short ram, or CAI. just to be safe replace all your boost hoses(several companies make nice sets for the 1.8t)
then the turbo upgrade and some software thats upgradeable like unitronic. i dont think apr or GIAC have a k04 file.
youll need new coil packs the stock ones dont seem to hold up very well.
oh last but defiantly not least get rid of that milk box they call an intercooler with a good side mount or front mount.
or you can skip all this shit a buy my car and you'll instantly have about 370 horse to the wheels.
I'd never try to push over 300whp/300wtq on stock rods. they're hit or miss, im not a gambling man.
