The Symptoms
On the fuel dizzy there is a hole where you use a long 3 or 4mm(i forget, it's been awhile) allen key to manually change the fuel mixture. Usually you adjust by 1/4 turn increments. It's helpful if you know exactly what mixture you're running so you don't over do it.
if needed i can go take a look at the tool for the sears part number. It does have to an abnormally long one.
As far as switching management for proper EFI... Digi1 is a better bet from a corrado than digi2 from a regular golf/jetta. Last I checked on ebay you can get a full fuel rail/FPR/injectors/ecu/harness for under or at $300. I remember a couple places burning chips for digi1-16v's too.

It could be oil in the system. Basically when you give gas hard or romp on it the air picks up the oil in the system and pushes it through the motor and burns it off. Is it a quick puff of smoke or a continuous stream of smoke once you floor it?? btw, i'm assuming you are the person i ordered the head gasket set in with the valve seals. Let me know if you still need it, i need to return it if you dont!
yea i ordered it.. i called you back that day and never got a return call to pick it up so i didnt know what had happened.. i left you a message. but im actually selling my motor to some1 now and ill have them pick up the kit from you. ill give you a call in the next week about it.. but its continuos and then once it stops its done.. but i need to figure this out so i can help my buddy fix it
