2000 Jetta VR6
I have a friend that has a 2000 Jetta VR-6. The passenger widow motor doesnt work and they were told that it was a regulator for the motor.
My question is does anyone know how much these are?
Does anyone have one that I can get?
How hard will it be to put in?
Any information will be very useful.
Thanks for the help.

The part number for the Jetta passenger side front window regulator is 1J4837462D. Ive heard that they superceeded that number with a new part that is more reliable. Only time will tell. It should run about $120. The 2000 cars have a 2yr/24k miles warranty so it wont be covered anymore.
The regulators suck. Ive been lucky that none of mine have gone bad yet. Watch now that Ive said that all 4 will go bad tomorrow.

it is a common problem and I think it has happened since VW has started putting PW on their cars. My Quantums windows broke way back in 87 when the car was new but hasnt broke since. Also sometimes now they dont work but work after I put the key back in.
