2000 Jetta VR6
Our family wagon is a 2001 Jetta VR-6 and we just lost the power window on the passenger side yesterday.
Its still under warranty so I haven't personally looked into the cause of the problem, but from what my wife described it appears to be something with the motor, gearing or lift mechanisim since it sounds like grinding gears when she goes to put up the window and it wont.
The window is currently taped up since they didn't have the replacement part in stock at Reeves so we have to go back in Monday once they get the part in.
Once it has been fixed I'll check the service papers to see exactly what the problem was and let you all know what was replaced.

The driver window in my Camaro went bad on Sunday...but it's an '87. LOL. 15 years was a helluva good run for an americna made car eh?? hehehe
Only thing that sucked ass was replacing it....OMG I wanted to just rip the door off, throw it in the dumpster and freedoor it all over town. Goddamn GM engineers, I want to kill them, all of them....mercilessly

No fuck that...I've had a total of 9 window regulator swaps.
Five on the driver's side and 4 on the passenger's.
A small side note too, this weekend my passenger one took yet another shit on me, I need to take it in for a nice swap.
That's a total count of window regulators n a 2001 car!
WOOHOO!!!
Oh, but I'm not bitter.
