Does anyone have any projects that they are working on? If so what are they?

I have 2 going on. The first is an 8v turbo Scirocco. Its 100% together but wont start. It cranks but no spark. Hopefully it will be running by this weekend. The second is a 77 1.8 16v Scirocco. It runs but needs more hp. I have a p&pd head and 268/276 cams but I want to go to straight 276s. Does any one have a 276 16v intake cam that they want to trade for the 268??????

Im working on the motor for my Fastback. Finally got it up and running (pretty well too) now Im just tuning it. I have one cylinder running rich and another lean. The remaining two are fine. So its a matter of finding out what is wrong with my carbs. Once thats done it gets put in the car. (I have a second chassis from my dune buggy that Im using as a engine stand ).

Other than that I just replaced the lower control arms ball joints front wheel bearings and (soon) outer tie rod ends on the GTI. I attempted to put my stock suspension back on but couldnt get the damn thing back in! So Im leaving the Cup kit in for now.

I can still feel it some. But the other items that I have changed did make an impact and definitely reduced it and helped the ride quality. Hopefully the tie rod ends will finish it off. I should know this weekend.

*fingers crossed*

Hey Joe do the air cooled veedubs use down draft carbs? I have side drafts on the 16v and they are sweet!

I could consider my Scirocco a project since I just have to fix the basic things. I need to shift bushings but I cant find them I am probably going to get a new exhuast new tires fix the e-brake cable and maybe just do a new clutch since I am starting to hate mine now since it is not even with the brake pedal

Yep Im running dual DellOrto 40s. Theyre pretty nice carbs and beat the old single barrels I had. Although I have more to tune now (4 barrels instead of 2).
