On the new models its the yellow wire with red stripes you just cut it. Thats what I did. But on your Jetta I dont know.

Pull the headlight switch out and its connected to it.

Duuuuude! Dont cut the wire! That becomes a fire hazard and its sloppy. Just put some electrical tape on the pin marked TFL on the switch to insulate it. If you ever sell your car just take the tape off and youre back to stock.

There should be a solid yellow wire behind relay 173. It should have an inline connector on it. Just pull that connector apart. No more DRLs. All other lights will work normally.
