i got a volkswagon mk2 its a 1.8 i was gave an offer for an vr6 2.8 its a licence shop and are asking 2500,for PARTS AND LAYBOR.

I WANT TO DO ETHIER AUTO-X OR SOLO 1.WHITCH IS BEST,AND WITCH CAN GIVE ME A GOOD AMOUNT OF 300HP FOR LESS MONEY?

I think you are asking if you should either swap in a VR6 or stick with the stock 1.8 8v. If that is the case, VR6 all the way. The car will not be ideal for autocrossing though, hope you have enough money left over for planty of suspension upgrades if you plan to autocross it.

The front end will be too heavy.

 

the vr6 is going to destroy your weight balance.

 

You can do the Vr6 and have a badass straight line car, or with a little $$$ build the suspension and have mediocre handling...

Or do a turbo 1.8. The G60's made good power, so before you ditch that and go vr6 give it a shot.
The 8v's are fun...
Never underestimate the SOHC!

 

G60's also are grenades. I'd do a 16valve swap.

 

G-Laders are grenades, the G60 long block is stout.

 

or u could do a 1.8t swap, and chip it.
