i jsut purchased a silver 03 gti 1.8t and which is a huge change for me... but i was just seeing what owners had to say about them and anything i should know.. the car has fmic, bov, manual boost controler and turbo timer... whats safe boost where do i get work done on it(im in st.pete) and anything helps thanks.... o and does anyone have problems with reverse i did 3 times is jsut didnt go in now its fine..

I am going to guess a ricer was the previous owner based on the mods you listed. I would nix that MBC for a ECU flash. MBC can cause issues with just about any VAG turbo vehicle. As for not going in reverse, are you sure you were pushing down hard enough on the stick to bypass the lockout? How many miles on the car?

 

lol yeah i feel u on the ricer.... but there is 47,000 on the car,,, it seems like the MBC is messin with it cause when i test drove it it was like spiking high so i turned it down and now i am on like 7-9 pounds but some times boost will hold then the car will jump its wierd so i deff need to know where to go to have work done and what to do.... as far as reverse maybe its jsut me getting use to it
