Default audi 1.8t dv ?

i have a 03 a4 1.8t quattro. i plan on getting the chip but i know i need to upgrade the dv first. i was wondering if these motors have problems with a atmospheric bov rather than a dv? also it is an automatic, can you hear the aftermarket dv's on an auto like you can a 5spd?and before people start flaming, im not looking for a loud ricey bov. im just wondering what my options are.

typically you will not be able to hear a dv if you still have a stock airbox, its still barely noticable if you have a aftermarket intake.

There isnt a problem running a bov instead of a dv. The only issue that continues to come up with running a bov is they tend to trigger a cel code.

Honestly the way a 1.8t is setup youll get better performace from a dv.

Not necessarily true. Some 1.8t's runny shitty with a BOV some don't. It's hit or miss

The car came with a DV from the factory for a reason, they did their homework, so stick with what works.
