Default MK2 Problem.. please help!

Ok I have a 91 MK2 Jetta and it used to be my DD, then I got bored driving it and started driving my other car all the time. Anyways the car hasnt moved in about a month so I go to start it and move it today and it starts fine and all but everytime I go to let off on the clutch it stalls... any ideas? If I really rev it much either it also stalls. I honestly dont know crap about VW's and I never shoulda bought the car, but I need to fix it asap... please help!

So you let of the clutch and it stalls? Possible fuel cut? I mean even when you go to give it gas it just seems like it isn't getting there. Its a shot in the dark but i mean to me its the only thing to really sounds plausible of the top of my head...

I'm not sure how it can be but it seems like when car whats to get up and go theres not enough fuel to get it going causing it to stall. This is only a theory mind you. Are there any other symptoms? Are you throwing any codes?

I dont see how a mk2 is going to throw codes. Id take a look at the cold start valve.

I was initially thinking that, but when he said that he lets off the clutch it and it tries to die makes me think it is something else.

To clarify, when the car is not moving, and the car is not in gear with the clutch in it is fine. But when you release the clutch pedal it starts to die? Or is it when you try to move the car?

I am thinking it might be the ICV, but not sure.

Yes, but also when you give the car gas i neutral with your foot off the clutch it will want to die.
