Dude that sucks. Did it take out your front spoiler as well?

I had talked to Steve and he told me about them taking the charger off of Brads car. God I wish I had the money to buy it. But right now Im seriously debating on trading mine in for a Mk4 GTI VR6. Although the 1.8T thing is making me wonder. Could I get a ride in yours sometime to see what it is like?

I have a VW. I looked around the van dyke BK but didnt see anyone that I thought fit the descriptions ive seen here. I saw a nice looking syclone with 1800mi on it. he wanted 25000.00 for it. you can get a 97 s4 for that

 

Sort of my fault for lowering the car 3. I was looking down at my phone at the time. Really it just grazed the pan enough to crack it open. But it hit my lower tiebar and subframe very hard. It did hit my front spoiler but its made of polyurethane so its flexible. At least this is my first oil pan. My friend Franz has been through 7 oil pans in his 2000 GTI VR6.

Joe give me a call sometime at the shop. We can go for a spin anytime after work. The next few days is going to be tough though. We just got in a container from Germany.

Bring a VW or 2 to the track tomorrow night! Id love to see some VWs that can run! (Unlike ACMEVR6s which is a dog ). You guys have anything that will run in the 12s or at least 13s?

Gosh no! Id be lucky if I run a 16. I suck at drag racing. The quickest car well have is Brads Turbo VR6 (until I get an APR Stage 3+ kit) but he will never drag race.

VWs have traditionally not had good 1/4 mile times (as Im sure you know). So much traction is lost through the front suspension design. The quickest stock body VW I know of is EIPs 650hp GTI that runs high 11s. But the car also weighs more than a stock GTI. Theyve added some huge subframe reinforcements and a roll cage. No gutted car there.

Yeah...a VWs strong suit is not found at the quarter mile With slicks on my VR6 I could muster maybe 2.1 sec 60 foots. Not bad but not all that good. But I dont think its any worse than any typical front driver. AWD sure would be nice .....except for the high driveline losses Damn...theres never any free lunch!
