4sfed 4 - The N code ECUs were exclusively on the 1998 VR6 Golf and Jetta. A very few late 1997 and early 1999 cars had that code too. That will help you weed out the people with incorrect codes. The 1996-1997 cars had A AA K and L codes.
Good luck selling.

JOHN1552-
Id like to take a trip down to your shop sometime though! Are you guys selling alot of Z Engineering kits? I tried one (I was a test car for Nik Saran last year) but switched back to my Vortech as the Z Eng just didnt make much power at least that my my opinion. On the dyno it was short everywhere compared to the Vortech and made almost 50 less peak hp.
But that thing is EASY to install! I took it on and off about 4 times in various trials and found I could do the job in an hour or less! In this regard its a great kit. Its also more easily reversible.
Good luck in the new location! Im still missing the VW scene every once in awhile but I take solace in the fact that my stock Maxima SE can lay waste to even modded VR6s

Anytime! Just give us a call ahead of time before you come down to make sure we will be here.
Youre right about the Z-Engineering charger not making as much power as the Vortech but that wasnt the point of it. So far weve had two engines blow with the AMS/Vortech kit. Cylinder #5 went on both. The Z charger was designed like you said to be an easy installation with a 40% increase in power while staying totally reliable. We dynoed the first kit we installed and got a 52hp difference at the wheels which is about what we expected.
You should see the results on the Mk4 VR6 82hp difference at the wheels! This kit should be available in the next few weeks.
Thats alright VR6s are weak anyway
