No, it is just funny because I used to post how 1.8t owners claim they can beat anything with a chip.

I personally don't think you could beat much with the mods you listed, but if you want to live in your fantasy world, then go ahead.

1.8ts are quick with those mods, have a moderate pull and are fun to drive, but I dont see beating STIs and EVOs.

just my .02

from a dig i catch up to the evo's and sti's after i get traction.. and from a roll i just pull on them from the start..

and its not about what chip is better bc they are all the same its just what you want.. but everyone i know with audi's or vw's, etc.. all have giac x+ programming.. i mean there is apr, giac, revo, and some more.. so whatever you want.. i know the apr and giac are basically the same price but people tend to go for giac over apr..

oh god....this is the most rediculous thing ive ever read....u realize with the things u listed ur not makeing over 250 to the wheels....even a none mod'd evo or sti could kill the car, cause ive done all that and more, and ive raced my friends sti and it put the hurtin on me...

if u really want to go fast man dont listen to him... just get a gt series turbo, go with the gt28rs, and just go kill shit....it will pull like no other...
or go bigger...its up to u and how much u want to spend, but a k04 is not worth the money when u could get a gt series turbo for almost the same price...

everything he ^ said is true.

1. there's no way you can even come close to an sti or an evo with just the mods you have listed on a 1.8t. i have an 01 a4 with giac-x, n75 rave valve, frontmount, ect. and there's no way it's close to an sti or evo.

2. turbo's i agree the ko4 is about the same price as one of the eliminator's and with the ko4 you max around 260 to the crank if your lucky. with one of the elminators for not that much more you can get alot closer to 300. ive heard the ko4 is more reliable but as long as your capable of figuring out and fixing little things youlle be fine with the eliminator kit's.

really depends on what your looking for. 4 quick reliable cheaper dd, then just go chip and supporting mods, but if you really want power look into the eliminator turbo's on apt.

yeah if your lucky. its only like 260 to the crank with the tuning and all supporting mods so unless your going bt you might as well just chip and hit up some meth injection. although the ko4 is "supposed" to get your torque over close or over 300. that's the only upside i see but not worth it for the money
