Question What can I Do to a 1999 Audi A4 1.8t?

Im in the process of buying a 1999 Audi A4 1.8t. I really like the car but to be honest, I don't really know much about Audi's. What kind of mods can I do to it? Well I not going to have a whole lot of money after I buy it so I guess I'll just like to do some minor things to it at first. I Would just like to get the most out of the car. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks, Jason

I think the most common mod is how you slam it and what you slam it on. Start with that man.

I don't think they are any mods available for a 1.8t.

a4 1.8t...
You can:

get a chip,
exhaust
intake
bigger turbo
injectors
race n75 valve

whole lot of shit you can do.

Suspension and brakes would be a great option too. Is it a quattro or FrontTrack?

LoL, nice coilovers, rims, boost controller, 3inch downpipe and 3inch exhaust, but theres no point in exhaust after the DP if u dont mind noise. ( 3inch would be fully utilized later of course )

No its not a quattro(Wish it was though).

Well I’m not completely oblivious to the car. I have always had an interest in Audis but there price was just never in my range. A close friend of mine has a Jetta Wolfsburg edition and we're currently working on it so I’m learning a little here and there.

I supposed when I asked the question I should have been more specific. I have been reading the threads for some time now and see that most of you are die hard for you’re car and really seem to know what you speak of when it comes to it. Such people as Kyle K, mrnicejetta, and MrNiceGuy to name a few. So since I’m relatively new to the VW and Audi scene I would like to know as much as possible about the car as I can. So if you could, can you tell me what’s the best and some what affordable products(for the time being), and there make.

I’ve done some things in the past with my friends cars and have realized that some of the things purchased were not of the best quality or just not worth the price. I don’t want to make the same mistake. Cause frankly I don't know what is the best for the car. Jason

Whenever you're planning out things like this, it is always best to start off with a few basic questions...

What do you want out of the car?
Where will it be primarily driven(street, track, drag strip)?
What are the funds like (as you previously mentioned, it doesn't sound like too much to start off with)?

Once these questions are answered, you can then go forward and decide where to spend your money, and what to get for "bang for the buck" which will actually leave you satisfied.

Well this car will be my DD. My funds are not that low but I think it would be better for me to save a lil for now. I'm would really like to upgrade the turbo and work on the supension and breaks. I'm more so looking into the futur as of what I'm going to do to the car. I just want to know what can be done to the car so I know what to do or get at that point.

As far as a turbo, which would be better a Garrett or a KKK?
