it's for torque... long runners give you more during most driving conditions. Most people don't drive to 6500rpms everywhere they go you know..

well i know that, but the engine is still pretty hot and the intake is metal, so i figured air would get pretty hot while going over the engine.

well... the air temp sensor will read hot in order to keep the car lean... which, in turn, leads to better gas mileage and cute emmision stats which will eventually lead to a euphoric paradise known as "one world". We'll finally have world peace.
