Default wire harness help...

i was wondering if anyone knew where i could buy a cheap engine wire harness or if anyone had one for sale for a 96 vw jetta vr6??? thnx for any info...

whoah...sorry guy. VR6 anything last about 15mins in a junkyard. You're best bet is going to be ebay or vwfixx.com classifieds. Now also, a 96 VR6 is going to be OBDII, it is probably going to be cheaper, and definitely more hp to look for a 93-95 VR6 harness and ecu(OBDI). Hope that helps.

Where do you get more horsepower from?? Pretty much anything for a 12v is the same, be smart and just stick with OBD2. Go on the vortex, you can probably find a harness for cheap on there.

I've always seen more hp gains in chipping OBDI VR's than OBDII.

Any 12v VR6 will see minimals gains with a chip, regardless of it being OBD1 or OBD2. What do you consider more gains, like .05 hp??

Show me proof, has to be the same dyno, same day, no other mods, only chipped.

I think he's referring to the obd1's potential rather than swap for swap gains (in any).
