I am looking at getting this for my girlfriend for christmas. We have a '01 A4 1.8T Quattro B5? Engine. What do you guys think? Will this work ok for my car? And is this a good price/brand to go with? Thanks

APR is a good chip, but you can't just buy the chip from their site and pop it in your car. You'll either have to take your chip out and mail it to them, wait 3-4 days, then get it back and put it in. Or you'll have to buy a spare chip ($500) and mail it to them. OR you'll have to go to an authorized distributor for APR and have them do it to your chip same day. I believe there is a place in Tampa called Racing Haus or something like that. They're "supposedly" an authorized dealer, but I haven't confirmed. This process will be the same for any chip you decide to go with.

GIAC is another popular brand and Fixx Tuning in St. Pete would be the people to talk to about that one.

Not sure if Nuespeed does chip tuning for your 1.8t, but I'm pretty sure they do.

Good luck and you must have an awesome girlfriend if she wants a chip for her car for X-Mas...
