anything you can do to pep up a 2.0 8v?
im new to vw and just wodering if there is anything i can do ot my 98 jetta to pep it up. also how hard is it to do a auto to manual swap in in this car. is vw hydro or cable tranny?

I pepped my 2.0 up by doing P-Flow intake, Platinum Plugs w/ Magnacore Racing Wires and Upgraded Exhaust. It still isnt the fastest car but it was a big diffrence from stock..

its a 98 Jetta 2.0? So it might have a 020 transmission, rod linkage. Not sure though. Check under the car and tell us the transmission code. If it starts with 02a or 02j then its cable

well its auto right now but if i keep the car im looking to do a 5 speed swap just wondering what kinda headache im getting my self in to

not worth the money, sell it and get something else (cant say what, i dont know how much you can get for one of those nor do i know if youre willing to get a more powerful platform)
