Uh, no shit. Built just as strong, but obviously the VR6 is going to be faster.

 

Do knock the 2.0. For a daily driver it is pretty much bulletproof.

 

get a mk2 (85-92) with a blown motor in it.... say for about $500-$1000. get yourself a vr6 motor and swap it in. thats the expensive part. you got yourself a pretty decent car for about $5000 that no one will suspect... thats what i did

If you don't mind a bit of noise, taking off the cat and running open downpipe would probably be good for 13.7.
