i won't argue with the corruption factor but that applies to any infraction . cops are cops and pigs are pigs , and the end result is often a negative outcome .Once they are involved it's over ... i love cops , ask them

According to Florida statutes,its only illegal if its louder than stock,and/or you remove one of the components(cat,mufflers,etc.)

That is true...When I had my modded Honda, I got pulled all the time for exhaust...Since then...Haven't been pulled ever! and my Mustang isnt quite either... But I do have the clean stock tips and not the give away fart can! They just think it is not possible for a Honda to be fast and ONLY loud and annoying... As for a V8 it is automatically assumed its fast so the throaty exhaust sound is from a manufactured power... Cops do for a fact single certain grps or individuals out! From experience I say this!
