actually my dad caught one that was 5'5" when i was back in St. Croix. it took him around 15 minutes to get reel him in...and that thing really put up a fight. oh and it was one tasty giant LOL
well the title does say "ever caught on film" .i would like to see the pictures though. also you shouldnt keep a fish of that size, they make lots of babies and the meat isnt too tasty on a bigger older fish..

why would i have to lie about this? it really wouldn't make any sense at all if you think about it. but it a true story. and the fish in the carribbean sea taste way different from the fishes here in the Gulf. as far as keeping the big fishes like that....you can there because they are TONS of fishes there. the snooks there grow really big man they are all over the place. just like tarpons, Barracudas, and gars......all these fishes grow very big but you just have to know what season each one are really active. see the snook over there like the shallow cloudy water, which is where they normally feed in. anyways i can go on and on but really it did happen and i with i had a picture of it.
