street racing has come to an end lol...this is just one of the many car..that i saw there were 5 most of them civics. one had soem old skool mugen rims which was on a crx. these cars werent hoopties either..

yeah i first heard about this when i saw the pic and quick article in tbt* on thursday. the pile of honda's they had were cleaaaan. i first noticed the mugens as well. (at least they looked liek mugens) and the blue hatch at the bottom of the pile with some red (gt3s maybe?) rims...ohh well, they're loss. dumbasses for racin on the street.

you say that now but im pretty sure those guys said the same thing to their friends, but in the end they watched their car get crushed.

 

yeah IIRC around here at least, dont they impound it for the first time and give you a big ole ticket and or jail time for the day/night, then gotta go to court and so forth?

anywho, IF it came down to it and you were in that situation as you say, id like to see you try when youre in cuffs

not trying to bad talk ya, but i like to talk big too, but i know in reality my tail will/would DEFINATLY go between my legs if i got in trouble, cause i sure as HELL wouldnt want to start any more trouble

 

i think there is countless 9mm sized reasons you wouldn't do anything of the sort to PD if they seize your car.

 

Bear with me for a second. I'm old enough and smart enough to not endorse street racing through a residential or congested area. But empty, industrial streets at 2 am? All that is in danger is yourself. Just like riding a motorcycle without a helmet. If the guys that had their cars crushed had multiple and serious offenses, then maybe they have had it coming. But I bet that was not the case. The Cali PD is trying to make a point and scare some people out of a racing. I think some logic needs to be displayed by the courts. Obviously, easier said than done. Everyone that street races, please be smart about it.

 

Also, I bet this backfires, because if the streetracers know their car is going to get crushed, they will just run.
I've seen people run over a $35 ticket much less a $20K car

 

That whole pile of cars wasn't worth 20k

After reading the story I see that the cops have to prove that identification numbers have been removed. In all 3 stories each of the cars had stolen parts in them.

 

if you dont have insurance and you ride without a helmet, your bike gets seized aswell... try a new analogy that is more condusive to your point
