I am having a hard time believing this. I mean either he was a crappy driver and falling out of boost or not even racing. I'm sorry, no stock motor 240sx is going to beat a turbo eclipse with drivers equal. On top of that, no STOCK 240sx makes 160whp. Even 145whp is pushing it. Stock 240SX are slow, end of story. If you want to go fast in one, boost is necessary.

 

Not when they're completely stock. I own a 240, and I'm not going to pump them up to something they're not. They put down 130whp give or take a couple. 240s are slow in completely stock form. No arguing that.

It takes some form of forced induction to make them any kind of fast. 14+ second 1/4 mile isn't fast (to me atleast).

 

uh yea i agree no stock 240 is gonna beat a stock gst on a roll or from a digg i think, but yea gst u say 170whp? and 240's are deff not 145-160whp that would mean they pull like 200 at the crank, wheel horsepower is different, stock 240's prolly pull out if they r lucky 130whp IF!even that

 

Even 240 owners are in here agreeing with the fact that a 240 in stock form are slow and put 135whp if that and a stock GST would walk them.

The argument is over. There's no way a N/A car pushing 135whp if that is going to beat a GST that has 170-190whp in stock form.

A GST in stock form will pull high 14's to low 15's at a 1/4 mile track. It doesn't take much (mod wise) to get them in the 12's and 13's.

, this wasnt meant to come down to a big drama , i just watched the first 30 seconds and found that , that car sucked. not all 240's , i happen to like the turbo version. rep was handed out to those with a mature post about there vechiles

Regardless of being slow in stock form, you can still have fun with one, which is why most people get it. Some people don't care and just want a LSD so they can slide around, and 130hp is enough to have fun. Like everyone else stated, the debates are over:

1) stock 240sx run 16s
2) stock 240sx put out less than 135whp
3) stock 240sx WILL NOT beat a stock eclipse gst or gsx from a roll or a dig
4) to go fast in a 240sx requires a turbo ka24de or sr20det swap
