Air powered might be alot better but i kno its alot easier to carry around some propane or hairspray than a compressor
yeh, i have also been thinkin about finding the part # for the newer aluminum grills ignitors and ordering one, all you have to do is push and hold the button for a continuous spark which is pretty cool unlike the old one you only get one arc per shot.
When i made mine i used a screw on cap on the end so it made it easy to change out the ignitor or getting stuff out in case it would get stuck for some odd reason, the only problem was that the screw on cap sort of melted the treads and would not come apart after heavy use
