well i'm sorry you choose an inferior car, but i guess your budget forced you into that situation. Here is a little reality check to have a fast car you need $$$$$ the more $$$ you have the faster you can go. thats why bums with shopping carts dont run 9's, and fully sponsored drag cars hit 4 sec 1/4miles

if you looked hard enough you could find a V8 car for about $10,000
i got a 96 Vette with 68,000 miles for $12,000(it had been wrecked and repaired).
i know you can get a beater camaro with an Lt1 or if you got lucky an LS1 for about $10,000 put $2,500-4,500 (heads, cam, and a bottle my friends Z28 automatic ran an 11.9 it made about 460whp with the spray full interior it had other gooides im not going to mention) into the drive train and run 11's

 

well you can buy a hatch, about 4gs, great condition, drop a k20, 6000Gs, and do about 2gs in upgrades, and you will have an all motor Honda beat your buddys 11.9 camaro, while making way less than 460whp, around 230-240whp.

You do need money to go fast, but you do not need a vette or any V8.

Who needs more than 4 Cylinders??

 

 

exactly...see he doesnt get that...cuz hes so caught up in the "theres no replacement for displacement" idea that MOST of the other v8 owners think as well....i like vettes and camaros and ESPECIALLY cobras....but its some of the guys who drive them that think everything else is inferior that REALLY get on my nervous...they all just dont like it when a guy with a hatch spends less money then they did and still beats them? too bad

Yea, because they dont know any better, V8s is all they know. Its alright tho, he can drop 60gs on a vette and do as much work as he wants, but there still will be Hondas out there, that have half the $ dropped into, and will be right in his rear view mirror. Definitely not leaving them.


Also, I bet that k20 gets way better gas mileage than that SS.

 

if you're into a hollowed out gutless car then go ahead and put a all that effort in to a little honda. i want to see an all motor civic full interior on DOTs run a low 12. i know my good friends camaro did it.

the difference in money here is about $2000, and i'll pay $2000 not to be associated with any of the people that drive civics and think their cars are fast. granted there are a few but in all reality not all of them are fast to dislousional 16yr olds that have never expierenced acceleration in their lives. when you goal out of your car is to get 240hp i just sit here and laugh. you r peak hp is what i make at 2000rpms and about a 1/4 of my cars potential.

i'd rather have a 300hp corvette riding around in leather seats and in a classy car. then an open headder noise can honda who thinks 240hp is fast.
