was that a matter of stalling the plane correctly? or did it have one of those engines that face down like the harrier?

Harrier engines face backwords, they just have rotating exiting vents that point down for it to lift straight up if needed.

All the jet did was come in at the angle and turn the rutter to rotate the plane enough to make it land right. Good job pilot, I'd fly with him any day.

so then we souldnt really be hearing about crashed planes anymore unless it was complete plane control loss... but for instance if they had to make an emergency landing... this maneuver should come in handy... that is IF they require all pilots to acquire this talent...

question... was that film a TESTING or was it a real emergency landing

What makes you think its an emergancy landing? Pilots come in like that all the time, especially at airports that have strong winds due to being near large bodies of water(as seen in the video).

There is nothing out of the ordinary with this video, complete plain control loss is totally different. Sometimes there are mechanical failures that dont allow for maneuvers that would ultimitally save the plane.

All pilots are required to know how to do that, its not a talent.

Damn, I thought for sure that the plane was going to end up in a high-octane powered fireball... nice save!
