I can't imaging being able to go from 0-90 in first gear an advantage... but if you say so.

If you are making power you are making power. I would take a 90mph 1st gear over a 25mph first gear any day. Anyone know what the average mph is in "low" gear of a PG on a drag car?

Don't get me wrong, I think the car is awesome and impressive. I just don't think it's that big of a deal with the way it is set up and how much it weighs.

Well I am only thinking of well... Myself. I have a standard gearbox, 6800 RPM shift points, and 2.73 gears my shifts are:
60 second
100 third
130 forth

but I come out of the hole like a slug!

In my ls1, stock t56, 6500shift points and stock 4.23 gears.

50mph first
73mph 2nd
109mph 3rd
dunno in 4th

I come out of the whole with a 2.1 60' and still manage 13.2s.

Local stock ls1 auto with 2.73 gears ran 13.0s and doesn't the a4 have a longer 1st gear?

I kind of get what you are saying but it just seems a longer 1st gear would help to me and as usual I'm being stuborn.

Well the auto and manual are geared dirfferent and my extra 300 RPMs do not hurt either but I run 11.4's and still only manage to cut a 1.8 short time on DR's :bbb:

WTF are you talking about willis? Please show me a 5.7L vette with no power adder running 140mph traps.

Then show me that car running around sebring.

Then maybe you will have something on that car. Till then, I don't think so.

EDIT: closest thing I can find is a 427 on slicks with a 135 shot running 9.9@144mph...far from stock displacement and far from all motor
