Low 10 second vette track vid - stock displacement, all motor
This is a video of lou gigliotti's c5 at the dragstrip - It's normally a SCCA world challenge car (sequential gear box, 90 mph in first gear, etc). I think with the trap speed he got, if he launched better he'd be in the 9's

eh, mph is that that impressive for a car that has sheet medal for body panels. And 10s out of a n/a 346 isn't that hard. There is a n/a 347 rollin around here that runs 10s and its a full street car. but I guess the 1 extra ci makes all the difference.

BUT, I think since the gearbox is set up for SCCA racing and not drag racing I find it QUITE impressive.

I think the gearbox actually helps it for what it does and probably the fact that it weighs <2600lbs with driver. He doesn't have to use a clutch, can shift faster then an automatic and can ride out first gear to 90mph, it's like having a manual power glide with more gears. The trans ends up being to his advantage then an arguement against it, IMO.
