Z06 killer is a turbo'd SHO
I agree with the majority. The SHO did not beat the Z06 or the Cobra.

SHO stands for Super High Output. It's a Ford Taurus. I believe the made them from 90-93. They were a Yamaha(yes Yamaha) 3 litter DOHC 24valve v6. 220hp/215tq. Then from 94 to 99(?) they went to a 3.9L v8. I had a 92. Damn thing would pull pretty good. Could chirp the tires in 3rd. Came fully loaded, Leather, moon roof, power everything. That guy posts on Ls1.com. Pretty cool car. -Mark

Actually SHO's have been around since the mid to late 80's and were produced up until last i knew of 99 They may still be able to be a special order item. The later versions i.e. the latest body style SHO's come with badass v8's. They are faster now then they ever were
all models of SHO stock are slower than 15 secs in the 1/4.... they feel torquey to drive but past that they are just heavy pigs.. My mom had a 1996...

The engine in My '00 Taurus is a 3 litre 24v DOHC v6 220hp but after '97. I belive they didn't offer it as a "SHO" it was told to me as a SES but I've seen SES's w/o the 24v DOHC engine. Anyone know where I could inquire about a supercharger or turbo for this model engine??
