That guys been road racing longer than you've been alive. The car isn't setup to drag race. Its got a very grabby clutch, low profile slicks that are designed to not get hot quickly, stiff suspension with practically no suspension travel etc. Don't forget that since he caters to the late model F-Body crowd, he was probably running the drags as some type of exhibition event, in which case he did what he was supposed to do, wow the crowd.

If you did notice I didn't say anything like "this guy can't drive worth a shit" ... I said it SEEMS like he doesn't know how to roll on the throttle ... obviously I don't know what went on in the car is why I said what I said.

Obviously you missed the part in my post where I said he uses tires designed not to heat up quickly (like a normal drag slick). If his tires got hot and sticky within a couple of seconds, how long do you think they would stay sticky while hauling ass around a road course? Thats why road course cars use tire warmers whereas you very rarely see them on drag cars. The tires take forever to come up to temp, but are more stable once there.
ok, makes more sense now ... Didn't know they used tire warmers before a car would come in the pits for a change. Now I can understand why the tires would spin like that. I guess they wern't trying to put up a good time at all out there if they didn't warm them up with a burnout or use a tire warmer.
