Default "CLUNK!" in the front end '03 F250 4X4

I occasionally hear a very distinct "CLUNK!" in the front end of my truck.
Sounds mechanical, like a bad ball-joint or something.
It happens most frequently when taking off from a stop where I have to turn.

I've gone underneath to ensure everything is good and snug, as well as lubed.
Nothing "jumps-out" as suspect.

For the weird part.... I usually does it when it's wet.... either during or after rain.

Ideas?

The vehicle is a 2003 F-250 4X4 PSD Supercrew, short wheel base.

Thanks in advance.

wheel bearing, jack up the front end and shake the wheel back and forth from side to side(right to left) there should be no play, and also if you have a big screw driver when the truck is jacked up stick it under the tire and pull up have a friend watch the ball joints, they shouldnt move but if they do then you need those

ball joints are about 500-600 at my shop, and bearings are alittle cheaper, but if you do the ball joints you have to get a alignment and i wouldnt even know what a alignment would cost to do that truck

Wheel bearings and ball joints are cake work, if your house is close to a tire kingdom, do it yourself and take it in to TK and get a lifetime alignment.

If you need a hand, we can make a day out of it on one of my days off this month

Been there, done that. It's hard to live a "normal" life when you work nights, so you just become a complete insomniac that everyone thinks is strung out on meth
