Default Tow Capacity - Am I pushing it too far?

I've got a 2003 F-250 4X4 that is being used as a daily driver as well as a weekend warrior tow vehicle.

The cargo is a 3,500 lb Jeep and three 600 - 750 lb 4-wheelers.
The trailer is a 4,200 lb 24' deck over bumper pull.

Total weight being towed is close to 10,000 lbs.

The distance is 600 miles each way.
The frequency is once every other month or so.

Am I pushing this truck too far?
What do I need to be cautious of?
What tricks / tips do you have?

Thanks in advance.

Cecil

This is an option I am looking at perusing to hauling the Jeep and 4-wheelers.

Though I have not purchased the trailer yet, I am ready to pull the trigger.

Here's the trailer:

The truck:
4.56 gearing
37" tires
6.0L PowerStroke Turbo Diesel w/Banks kit
Torque Shift Tranny with HD internals

Towing the old 16' trailer & Jeep.

The hitch is a factory Ford Class V (15,000 max distributed weight).

Looking at leveraging a Pintle Hook as well:

2 5/16" Ball and Pintle Hook.

Finish = Black Powder Coat
GTW = 16,000
TW = 3,000

Solid Pintle Hook Mounting Plate.
GTW/TW12000/1200

It's a Crew Cab with a short bed.

I looked at the sticker and found three numbers relative to weight.

Front GAWR = 5200 lbs
Rear GAWR = 6084

GVWR = 8800 lbs

Ideas?

i have that hitch on my jeep(the one you posted up) holds up real well! and im not pulling anything near that weight..i think you arent straining that ford at all..you got the banks kit..which 1?the big hoss bundle allows you to have the most power at the safest level..i would check that out..if you upgraded the tranny..(i would put the banks torque converter in tho..) you have the gears..and if it isnt struggling at all..you are good to go..

PS i posted up 2 pics of the jeep muddy..lol..at your request..

if you are really worried about it..opt for a dually..get a dually with the same gear you got going on now..(lift,tires,gears) and you wont have any problems with towing..lol

I wouldn't really want to go over 12,000lbs to much with a bumper hitch trailer but dont get me wrong. It will pull it also be pushing the truck alittle all depends on how far you going tow with it and stuff.. I pull bumper hitch's trailers before but dont really do it anymore i move on to groose neck trailers they pull so much better and make faster turns with them.. on my 24ft flat bed groose neck trailer i'm pushing anywhere from 14,000lbs to 25,000lbs but it is will F-350...

What year is your truck?

I bring this up. Not sure which one you have below

F250 pickup (3/4 ton) Pre 2004
6600-8800 GVWR,

F250/350/450 Super Duty (2004)
8800-19000 GVWR.

dude i have an 03 dodge ram 1500 5.7hemi 4x4 quad cab short bed with a class a hitch stock from factory... i pull about 9,000lbs monday through friday... i have a 21ft inclosed trailer, 4-56inch zero turn tractors and multipule bull**** also sometimes a load of dirt and or debree estimated weight is around about 9,000lbs and sometimes more...no problems pulling it only thing i would recomend if you dont have is an electronic break controler and a set of trailer stabelizers to keep the load from swaying...
