I don't think you've got any problems, and I say go for it on the trailer and pintle hook. Speaking of which may I ask how much that (hitch & plate) is?

only thing you might want to do over long distance is get a trans temp guage. we hauled a lot more than that with my old (02 7.3 F250), even went over the limit ford said it could hall, never with a problem. but i dont think you even at the limit of the truck so you should be safe, the trans temp guage is just a safty incase something doesnt go as it should.

Not much, the plates are around $50 as well as the the pintle... give or take a few bucks.
Tractor Supply Company sells them.

I've already got one.

dont think you will have an issue pulling wise.

Weight wise, i have seen plenty of trucks pull heavy equip on trailors like that all day long.

my question is, have you thought of and add-a-leaf. I would consult with the dealer about what the rating is on the hitch itself.

If i had the money and planed on buying a new trailor. me personally, i would go with a gooseneck/5th. You wont have the push and pull , side/side . like you would with a trailor hitch. On top of the gooseneck/5th sits over the axle so you dont make the truck do a wheelie.

above statment is only my opinion. Im not a rocket scientist, so dont hold anything against me.

This trailer is definitely overkill for my needs... but I am still looking forward to putting it to use.
Need to replace the motor on the Jeep and hopefully slap some bigger tires and bumpers on the 4-wheelers ASAP.
Ready to head back up for some 4-wheelin love.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the trailer today.
I'll post up pics ina few days.

And, gorgeous fucking truck man,.

Setup looks fine and trucks more than capable. I would do the trans temp as well as that is usually the weak link in these. If its bouncy add an Air Lift kit to absorb it.
