Can you take any close up pics of teh cab where its Rusted? cause i cant tell anythign from those pics.

cool truck...

own a 65 gmc longbed fleetside myself that suffers from major roof, hood, lower rockers, and floorboard rust. still has the orig 305E V6, 4spd on the floor.

your goals are definatley are way above anything im doing. going for the budget find anything that works rust rod theme myself, definately getting slammed with possibly c-notch and airbag...which will be the most expensive thing on the truck.

your best bet on finding a cab or hood is either finding a vintage junkyard (only a few in FL) or lucking out by finding a cheap donor or someone selling parts online. ive gotten a few parts from friends down in miami out of some of the junkyards down there...much better pickings than central fl.

honestly, your probably going to have to do some metal fab and welding.

i pass by a 66 C10 on a daily basis to work. ive offered to take it off the guys hands, but he refuses to sell.

mineis like 100 times worse above the windshield. it is all silicone and caulk. (previos owner). i know a place in pinellas park that has anything and everything for these trucks. but a mint cab is ~$850. also, all my truck really needs is cosmetic stuff. already has a 400sbc, power steering, power brakes with disc up front and 5 lug all around, etc... already been lowered. prolly will leave it at the current height though may buy new springs to lower the rear 1 more in to level it out. ill do some more things to the engine for more power but not much. this will be a cruiser.

 

im needing a stock rear bumper and driver window with internals.....

hmm... pretty good selection. definately proud of their items by some of their prices on parts, but i guess beggars cant be choosers when it comes to actually finding the parts you need.

to bad that cab they have pictured looks like crap, id love to get or do a big window conversion. that the one they want 850 for?! if you could get it for a few hundred, and the roof was in OK condition, be worth getting to do a roof swap and window conversion.

thats a new posting, i dont know how much it is. they have in the cat that cabs range from $450-850. also, i got a guy in louisiana offering a near mint cab for $500 but i got no way to get it and the gas to go pick it up if i did have a truck would make it not worth it.
