Default The Pits Again? plus a good story...from a pit party

Wow I have not been here in a while. Since then, I have 3 more inches and 35" BFG's!!!! that I am excited about. Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone is up for gong to the pits on the weekend of April 30th? I will be in town and would love to meet up with some 4x4's and runs some trails. I know this place like the back of my hand and I might be able to show some trails you all have not found yet, but if not I am sure it will be fun anyways....this place is huge. There is the trespassing thing though. Either way I will be out there.

On a side note and some good FYI/story... I had a party in the main sand pit with 50 people/5cars somewhere around late march. evrything was ok.....then haha we all got rowdy ...doughnuts(the car dirt kind) fireworks bon fires bass!!! and then my friend got stuck....and as we were pulling him out( in the sand pit) a police helicopter appears..but wait yet another one appears...and we are screwed. To make a long story (kinda) short...everyone panicked and ran got into the trucks and went for the SR60 exit/entrance(the only exit I knew open at the time). This is probably exactly what they wanted. Although me and 4 of my friends had other plans. Being the last car out, I decided to cut a right out of the sand pit and run....I did not get too far till they were on me. I flipped my lights off and used my E brake. I went under(into) a tree, and lost them. Then we went off again, and the same thing happened. After losing them again, I found some good tree coverage. I was heading for a small exit on doever road made for ATV's.(meanwhile none ofmy friends who left were answering calls...so we assume the worst in our krunken haze). I decided to put my friend on my brush guard so I could navigate sans lights. we made it as far as a hurricane blown tree would let us. We waited for an hour or two of helicopter hover, then made for the exit carefully. In the end we (4) got away clean.....either because my friend also has the same colored jeep...they were not using infrared for some reason...or I am the best damned tactical driver in the world haha...we will never know. Turns out we all would have gotten a slap on the wrist and warning to come back and get arrested, if we would have been caught(my friends told me).... do not let this scare anyone haha.....it only happened because we annoyed some near by houses with the high rev's, bass, fire, explosions and what not. I think no excessive noise, time of day, and mass amounts of people all come into play, but you decide. I am all for it though...let me know what you guys think. If not here then somewhere else sure.

Dover wasn't that hot last weekend it needs rain bad. I'd be game for something in the way of maybe say ocala if I can get some larger 4x4s to go (thanks to 2wd blazer for getting my out when 4wd took a shit). Little jeeps just can't get me out but like I said if we can round up another 1/2 ton or bigger vehicle i'm game.

We yanked that tree out of the way Sunday. My truck is still too big for that exit though.

You can get in/out off of 60....but it is on a main road though. I used to always use this way, but there are problems with it. I used to go in at night alot, for sake of traffic. When you come out your lights are hitting all the trees right off of 60, then you have to barrel down the exit and onto 60. Otherwise all I know of is the rail road track off dover, but them you run into the brush again. This place is ideal for jeeps cause of size. I bet I might be able tofind another way in somehow. Maybe over by Kings highway or Kingsway or something or other. On the backside of the property. Then I could always use my bolt cutters on the gate at whiteman road, but that is probably a bad idea. I found out a guy/company? from New Jersey owns the land, and they used to mine there. Dosnt really help but FYI I guess.
