Nissan Titan
I was fortunate enough to go to the Titan training in Lakeland awhile back, and all you guys that say you would rather have a Ford is only because you have not driven a Titan. I can't blame you for being biased cause Ford has made a good product for many years, but times are changing. If one were to take a side by side statistical look at all the big 3 and the Titan there is no comparison. The Titan leads the class by every aspect. The best approach, departure, breakover angles with the highest ground clearence. The widest/largest wheel base with the tighest turning circumference. The highest standard towing capacity. The best gas milage with the most powerful engine(period), and this is acheived with the only 5-speed auto in the industry.<--its silky smooth. There are many more things the Titan and Armada beat the competition over, but i just listed a few.
Now, for some real world comparisions. At the training Ford, Chevy, and Dodge were persent. All these trucks had the biggest engine availible and all with tow packages. We first started out with some drag races. Well if you are reading this far you can guess who was first. By a measured 1320ft the order was the Titan leading the Ford which led the Chevy which bested the Dodge. This was repeated numoruous times with the same results. We then hooked up some 18ft boats and went at it again with almost the same results. This time the Titans' lead was a greater margin over the Ford and the Chevy and Dodge weren't even close to being competitive.
It all boils down to this. Does one get a product were their money goes farther or stick with a lessor product because of brand loyalty? The comparebly equiped trucks just don't get as much as standard equipment and safety. Sure you can buy a less expensive Ford as long as you don't mind driving a 2 wheel drive 6 cylinder with crank down windows.

I would like to hear why you prefer the f150 over other trucks. Please let me know what makes you desire the Ford. And "because its a Ford" doesn't count.

5.4 litre v8 300 hp / 365 lbs trq, w/ a 3.73 rear gear 9800# max load towing, and 1990# payload

5.6 litre v8 305 hp / 379 lbs torque, 7400 standard towing capabilities, and 1640 payload
Titan has a bigger motor yet can't pull as much standard and has a lower payload. I look at that. Why jump on the band wagon, I rather stick with a company that knows how to build a truck.

I haven't driven a Titan yet but I would prefer to drive a truck made by a company that makes more than half their money from selling trucks than a company making their first full size truck. Not dissing it due to the fact that it's an import, hell the TRD Tacoma is one hell of a truck just not my cup of tea.

Ok, i said the excuse because its a Ford doesn't count.
Anyway, are you sure you have those towing capacities right? I seem to recall that standard for standard the Titan reigns supreme. Go look at a sticker window on a Titan, the towing capacity is 9400lbs standard. And you tried to compare Ford's MAX towing capacity to the Titan's standard towing capacity. It seems to me that the "standard" capacity on the Ford is in the 7,000 range. That's ok if your trying to over compensate. Its not an easy thing to come to grips with, not being on top anymore. BTW...are you sure the 5.4 is the "standard" motor? I believe the standard motor is the 4.6 with 231hp @ 4750 and 291tq @3450.
Your not being honest with yourself and it only hurts you to not be fair. Like i said you can buy what you want, but why piss good money away?
And there is no way one could compare the Tundra to anything. At the training we opposed the Titan to the Tundra(bumper to bumper with an industrial nylon tie down) and put them in a low gear crawl, and the Tundra was pulled around like a little bitch
Edit: i was wrong i'll admit it...the towing capacity is not in the 7k for the Ford its actually in the 6K range for the "standard" 4.6 v-8. And your precious payload capacity is a dismal 1690lbs. Also, another interesting caveat is the fact that the 5.4 "was" rated at 260hp and 350tq until Ford found out the Titans' numbers were going to be much greater than that. And believe me when you sell trucks those are the two most important numbers in the world. So once agian, you have a truck who's price point is dollar for dollar what Fords standard truck is yet you get a truck that is ever bit a pimp in the big boy class. Now try to put dollar for dollar the "options" that it would take to bring the Frod up to the Titan and you would be in a whole nother ball park with price.
